Welcome to Sensibilist.com-Sensible Thought From Sensible People!
Reasonable People in an Unreasonable World™

Sounds easy, doesn't it? Anyway, welcome and come in to the Sensibilist™ site...it's great having you here!

You are probably asking yourself, "What is a sensibilist?!?" (or Sensibilism for that matter!;-) Well, simply put, our aim is to be "reasonable people in an unreasonable world" and everything that says. Think about our site as being a 'think tank community' for the common, or rather, uncommon man. I figure at least here in the states, that all of these graduates from Yale, Harvard, and the like have been, with their law degrees, running this country into the ground...and this is how it messed up it is?...and these folks are supposedly the 'best and the brightest'.....NO WAY!

FEEL FREE TO ALWAYS SHARE IDEAS IN A HUMOROUS WAY!
('cause if we don't laugh...we will cry!)

Why does everyone feel compelled to label people as liberals, conservatives...I'm conservative..sometimes liberally, and liberal..sometimes conservatively....like you....I'm sure we all share one common goal....to live a good life and to hope for the best for our children!

What the hell is a "Sensibilist", you ask?

sensible \Sen"si*ble\, a. [F., fr. L. sensibilis, fr. sensus sense.] 1. Capable of being perceived by the senses; apprehensible through the bodily organs; hence, also, perceptible to the mind; making an impression upon the sense, reason, or understanding; ?????? heat; sensible resistance. 2. Having the capacity of receiving impressions from external objects; capable of perceiving by the instrumentality of the proper organs; liable to be affected physsically or mentally; impressible. 3. Hence: Liable to impression from without; easily affected; having nice perception or acute feeling; sensitive; also, readily moved or affected by natural agents; delicate; as, a sensible thermometer. ``With affection wondrous sensible.'' --Shak. 4. Perceiving or having perception, either by the senses or the mind; cognizant; perceiving so clearly as to be convinced; satisfied; persuaded. 5. Having moral perception; capable of being affected by moral good or evil. 6. Possessing or containing sense or reason; gifted with, or characterized by, good or common sense; intelligent; wise.

So what's a Sensibilist?
I think: "One who practices and attempts to be sensible"

Attack the idea, not the person

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. --The Buddha

"Only 2 things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
Albert Einstein
(sure is a lot of potential for stupidity by the looks of our population counter!;-)
